A+ Academics Celebrates New Location
Friday, June 20, 2008
A+ Academics is celebrating its new location close to the Town of Haymarket and Gainesville with Open House Week July 14-18 on the premises at 14535 John Marshall Highway (Rt 55), Suite 208. This area is known as Village Square at Greenhill Crossing, about a mile east of the Town of Haymarket. Ribbon Cutting ceremony by the Prince William County/Greater Manassas Chamber of Commerce is planned for Tuesday, July 15 between noon and 1 pm. Food, Center tours and free drawings will be part of Open House Week between 9 am and 4 pm. The tutoring and enrichment center was founded in 2005 by Gail H. Johnson, a teacher and local community activist, and is not a franchise. Over 40 licensed and experienced teachers offer their services at A+ Academics to students in grades 1 through 12 and adults seeking extraordinary education in all subjects. Foreign languages, specialty classes and study skills are also offered as are test prep classes for the ACT, SAT, GED and TOEFL. Special education students are welcome. A+ Academics had been located about a mile closer to Rt 29 on John Marshall Highway but was required to move because of future road construction at the I-66/Rt 29 interchange. "The move has been a smooth event for us," noted Johnsn, "thanks to the work of relocation specialists, VDOT and others." A+ Academics, the first tutoring center in the greater Gainesville/Haymarket area, looks forward to opening satellite centers in other communities in the coming year. "Our students come from such a wide area, we'd like to have an A+ closer to them. It's our next step." said Johnson. The Village Square location will become the Center's headquarters in the expansion plan. Details and information is available at 703-754-3551 or www.aplusacademicsinc.com. -30-
